Bringing Joy to Local Families and Older People .
Christmas can be a really tough time for some—especially for families struggling to make ends meet or for older people spending it alone. That’s why every year, we run our Christmas Gift Appeal to spread a little love, hope, and festive cheer across our community.
For Children (Ages 0–16) .
In the run-up to Christmas, we collect brand-new gifts for children and teenagers (aged 0–16) through our local donation points. We get everything from cuddly toys and books to craft kits and footballs—anything that’ll put a smile on a child’s face! Then we host our Gift Appeal Day, where families are invited in to choose three gifts per child. It’s a lovely, relaxed day where parents and carers can pick presents with dignity—no stress, no judgement—just support and kindness during a busy season.
For Older People Spending Christmas Alone .
We also make sure our older neighbours aren’t forgotten. Everyone we support through our Befriending service gets a wrapped Christmas gift, hand-delivered with care.
For those who’ll be on their own over the Christmas period, we deliver luxury hampers full of goodies to brighten up their day. And on Christmas Day itself, we deliver a hot Christmas dinner for anyone spending the day alone—a warm meal and a reminder that someone cares.
Whether it’s a toy under the tree or a hot meal on Christmas Day, this appeal is all about letting people know they’re seen, valued, and loved. We couldn’t do it without your support—so thank you for helping us make Christmas that little bit brighter for those who need it most.
