At Reach, we’re all about people. We started with a simple idea—what if neighbours truly looked out for one another? That heart still drives everything we do today. Whether it’s popping in for a cuppa with someone who’s lonely, walking alongside a struggling family, or providing the essentials when times are tough—we’re here to show love in action. Rooted in Christian values, we believe no one should feel forgotten. We’re building a community where everyone feels seen, supported, and valued.

About Reach Family Project
Our vision
That no one will feel excluded from society, lonely or forgotten but instead know that they are valued.
Our mission
To promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of both children and families and those who are elderly and disabled in the Bolton area.
Our values
‘Loving others, giving out’ to always show love and care for those we support, always going the extra mile. To be reactive to the changing needs of the communities we work in.
Befriending
Supporting those who are isolated or in need. .
Reach Befriending supports elderly and isolated people, showing love and care and reminding them they are not forgotten. Reach Children and Families offers support and training to parents helping them and their children to get the best out of life.
We are excited that, after originally launching in the Bolton area, we are now expanding into the Bury area with the same vision of making a real difference.
What we do:
One to One Befriending: Matching volunteers with lonely and isolated elderly neighbours with a weekly visit
Pastoral project: Extra support and visits for those over 80 or severely isolated
Children and Families
Supporting Children and Families to reach positive outcomes in the Bolton area. .
We have supported many families throughout Bolton and continue to increase the services we offer. Our services include:
1:1 HOME SUPPORT: Weekly visits to families working through agreed goals.
PEER SUPPORT GROUPS: Providing a safe, warm space where families can come for advice and support and to make new friendships, helping to reduce isolation.
TIME OUT FOR PARENTS: Weekly sessions helping parents engage with their children and improve relationships by looking at things such as children’s needs, boundaries and safety.
STAY & PLAY: Providing a safe, stimulating space where children aged 0 – 5 years can discover, learn and engage with their peers in a fun environment.
ABOVE & BEYOND: Cakes and celebrations for special birthdays, providing extra toys, games and resources to encourage positive family relationships.
Bringing Joy to Local Families and Older People .
Christmas can be a really tough time for some—especially for families struggling to make ends meet or for older people spending it alone. That’s why every year, we run our Christmas Gift Appeal to spread a little love, hope, and festive cheer across our community.
